I think this video gets about as close as possible to encapsulating how amazing Wrockstock was. It was recorded by one of my Death Eater Quidditch friends - I'm in the video in the parts where "Voldemort" was doing a dramatic Shakespearean reading of the instructions for our iron-on Dark Marks and making us all crack up at the innuendo - and overlaid is audio of a song that over the weekend became the official theme song for the wizard rock community after Jace of Catchlove played a cover of it during his set.

ok i have no idea whether this NLP stuff has a proven basis in cognitive science (but i totally bet it does) or whether this kid's just acting and Derren Brown's really creepy.

Fic: What I Could Never Say

Title: What I Could Never Say

Summary: When Adam and Archie are kidnapped all Kris and Cook can do is wait and hope for their loved ones to be returned to them.

Disclaimer: Definitely not mine. Not real. Do not want to ever be real.
Authors Note: This was based off of one of the prompts on the

aianonlovefest group. The prompt was "Adam and Archie are doing something for Idol as the two most recent runners up. They get taken hostage. Kris and David waiting together hoping the people they love are alright. Pretty much do what you want with it but please no character death. " Each section is written from the point of view of one of the characters; Adam, Kris, Archie, Cook.

Part 1 - 3: That wasn’t strictly true but Adam was rambling now. He needed to do something to stop them from taking David out of there. He couldn’t help but feel that if he lost David now he’d never see him again.

Part 4 - 7: God he was tired. He hadn’t slept at all last night, no one in the house had. After watching the videos of Archie and Adam the FBI had spent several hours questioning both he and Kris about their day and checking their alibis.

Part 8 - The Epilogue: The figure sitting on the bed was wearing scrubs. He had his knees pulled up to his chest and his arms were wrapped around them. He was in almost the exact same position Kris had been in that afternoon. Archie’s eyes were wide open and focused on the door but David didn’t see any recognition in them.

What are you thinking, man?

Today in Korea it was 빼빼로 (Pepero [roll your R's]) Day, which is a day created by a cookie company so children will buy their cookies. Anyway, what it entails is people give their friends/family/coworkers/whoever 빼빼로 cookie sticks. As a result, I now have about a million boxes of a cookie I don't particularly like, given to me by my students. If you know what Pocky is, it's like that, only Korean.

Here are some of my special 빼빼로 sticks, in their special packages, given to me by some of my students. They were enormous. One of them was even strawberry flavoured! Plz ignore my notebooks and my co-worker's laptop.

This episode of Castle is horrible. I feel personally betrayed by Nathan Fillion.

A list of happy things! because they're important.

- The Little Person I'm going to be (ungodly) godmother to is apparently a girl, woohoo! Now to commence knitting for her? mm, yes.

- This parody/cover of Poker Face, which I found through Megolas, has totally made my day (several times over). I think this girl is incredibly hot in her normal getup, and oddly looks younger when all costumed. Anyway: Molly Lewis is AWESOME.

- This fabric collection I have in my sights - I want a bundle of those so bad; I've had it opened in a tab for over a month. Why didn't I buys it already, when I bought yarn int he meantime? mystery. maybe I don't feel I can legitimately buy pre-cut fabric when I hardly sew and have never done any quilting/patchwork before. BUT THESE COLORS OMG. so pretty. Batiks are love.

- Andrew Wheeler is great, too, and this piece of his on gay marriage is also awesome (even though the subject is not a happy place, obv.). A very good read.

- Sabine is hilarious, and her LOLcats response to the SGU!producers whining on the web at their critics is going to stay open in a tab for a long while. I WISH I had someone IRL I could dismiss with "Crayons will be provided in the playpen. Go."

(or maybe not. better to have no one to dismiss, I suppose.)
